Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to purchase tickets in advance?  Tickets must be purchased in advance as tours typically sell out ahead of time.  To maximize your chances of getting the day and number of tickets you prefer, please book in advance.

 

Are gift certificates available?  Falmouth Food Tour gift certificates are available and make a great gift for holidays, birthdays, or any other occasion.

 

Where does the food tour start? All tours start at 300 Main St. in front of the Falmouth Public Library (Main St. Entrance).  Your tour guide will be holding a Falmouth Food Tour sign.

 

Is there parking near the tour meeting point?  There are several public parking options near the meeting point of the tour.  There is a parking lot beside Falmouth Public Library on Katherine Lee Bates Rd and at the parking lot at the adjacent Mullen Hall School on Katherine Lee Bates Rd.  In addition, there is street parking along Main St.

What if I have dietary restrictions or allergies?  Given the logistics and preparation involved with the menu, we cannot provide food substitutions at this time.

 

Are any beverages served on the tour?  Falmouth Food Tour will provide each person with 1 bottle of water at the start of the tour.  You have the opportunity to purchase beverages at most of the tour stops.

 

How much walking is involved?  Tours generally last about 3.5 hours and cover approximately 1.5 miles of non-continuous walking. The tour will be conducted at a casual pace with several seating stops along the way.

 

What happens if it rains?  The tours are held rain or shine so please dress appropriate for the conditions. 

Does the tour guide accept gratuities?  Gratuities are greatly appreciated, although not mandatory. The standard gratuity in the service industry is 20%.

 

Can I cancel or reschedule a tour?  Once purchased, the tickets are non-refundable.
